For decades, composer and pianist Jean-Jacques Dünki (*1948) has established himself as an important voice among contemporary Swiss musicians. As a soloist, chamber musician, piano pedagogue, and researcher, he enjoys international renown.
The album "pour le clavier" presents a retrospective overview of his compositions for keyboard instruments. For PIANOVERSAL, Jean-Jacques Dünki recorded his music on three different instruments himself: on the modern grand piano (Steinway D, Hamburg 2017), on a historical fortepiano (Broadwood, London 1802), and on clavichord (Thomas F. Steiner, Basel 2006; after Friederici, Gera 1773).
"Pour le clavier" provides insight into Jean-Jacques Dünki's creativity and versatility as composer and performer, as well as his lifelong engagement with the piano and its historical predecessor instruments.
